Ruth Wakeham

Ruth’s relatively brief time with Southbound Tram brought the beginning of a different direction for the band.

Ruth was raised on a balanced diet of Pearl Jam, Nirvana, and the Blues Brothers, and became the singer in an indie/punk rock band in early high school.

Unfortunately, her fellow bandmates did not share her love of classic rock and blues, and they eventually went their separate musical ways.

Ruth has been sporadically involved in various choirs (both classical and contemporary), but she has always wanted to find a home for her strong, blues-y lower register.

And now, with Southbound Tram, she’s found it!
